Question: Can you wear contacts for near sighted AND far sighted or only one of them!?
I mean lets say that my vision in both eyes is -1!.75 and +!.75, will I be able to wear contacts that have two different prescriptions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
If your prescription is -1!.75+0!.75 (with an axis), you are just nearsighted with astigmatism!. They do make contacts for this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, I have severe astigmatism and wear contacts called Toric lenses!. Contacts are also available in bifocal!.!.!.which is what I need but they are much more expensive so I just wear the toric!. Each eye is treated individually with contact lenses, so if one is near sighted and one is far sighted it is not a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
We call it monovision, you wear a lens to correct your distance vision in one eye, and a lens to correct you for near work in the other!. Works fairly wellWww@Answer-Health@Com
Yes you can!. I have two different prescriptions and I have astigmatism in one eye!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They also make bifocal lenses which are easy to get used to!. They cause less headaches than the so-called mono-vision technique!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
