Is it true that once you get lasik surgery, you have to keep it up over the year!

Question: Is it true that once you get lasik surgery, you have to keep it up over the years!?
Answers:
I just had lasik done on March 28th, of this year!. I asked my Doctor the same question!.!.the answer is, if your eyesight is stabilized when you have the surgery done, then it shouldn't change after your eyes have healed post-surgery!.

I got the lifetime guarantee, just in case! They'll do enhancements at any time in your lifespan if your rx changes to an unacceptable level!. Now, this isn't for seeing up close - only seeing far away!. Near vision changes as you get old because the lens in your eyes get stiffer, and that can't be fixed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not sure what you mean!.!.!. are you sure you know what lasik surgery is!? its eye surgery to make your eyes perform better and you have to treat your eyes good after you have it or your eyes will go bad again! hope i helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com

No!.!.!.Most people don't need a correction later in life if they had a stable prescription beforehand!. Some peoples eyes do change after many years though because of nature, age, or disease which then you need a correction if your vision is worse than 20/40!. That happens only to a few percentage of people though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am getting lasik done on Friday!. I talked to my doctor a lot!. No, that is not true!. Some people need an adjustment within the first year!. It's a natural progession for your eyesite to diminish over the years, but I highly doubt you will have to re-do lasik in 3-4 years!. More like 10-20!. It is possible that you may need reading glasses though!. Everyone is probably different I guess!. My eyesite has been stable for 5 years, and they want your eyes stable for about two years before the surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ladybug, toxic and italiana are right! Except, if you are in readers now or over the age of 40, expect to be in readers almost immediately after having lasik!. If you are 30, then you will enjoy some time glasses-free! But expect to be in cheaters*($1 walmart glasses) once you hit 40! You may want to consider monovision if this is an issue for you(one eye for distance, one eye for near!.!.!.your eyes accomodate so you will not need glasses)Www@Answer-Health@Com
