Possible major?!

Question: To become and orthodontist / optometrist, what would be a good major? I understand that after you get your bachelor's, you go on to optometry school / dentistry school/orthodontic speciality.

But what would be an appropriate major in college?

If it's any help, I'm a sophomore in high school

Any help with be appreciated!!
Thanks in advance :)

I think that biology or biochemistry would be the two best choices to prepare you for a medical post-graduate degree... but I'm a Liberal Arts major... what the heck do I know??!? LOL!

premed or biological sciences. must have 3.0 or above in college to get into these schools

If you decide to go into a science based profession...medicine, dentistry,... you're going to be spending the rest of your life doing that stuff.

In school, learn about the world. Learn history, literature, some business, sociology, geology, english...

In medicine you'll be doing chemistry, physics, cells, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pathophysiology, histology, pathology, physical exam, lab stuff like... forever.

Take the basic courses required to take the MCAT or other *cat, and get A's. But for YOU, give yourself some flavor of life, people, cultures, music, literature, philosophy. . . so you can feel the day., learn a higher path, how to be a more elevated person for yourself....

Why would I say this?

Because I didn't.

Sience, or chemistry classes.
