Light within my eyes? Is this normal?!
Question: When I wake up the room is dark. But when I open my eyes it is like a bright light--although the room itself is dark, it is like rows and columns of of bright squares that moved as they went down. I closed my eyes again. Reopened them and the room remained like pixels. Small circles of light that floated in the dark the moment my eyes would shift. the squares faded the more that I would blink. The moment I turn on the light, the pixels become much more faint.
Is this normal?

Hell no its not! You sound like Neo from the Matrix. Get that checked out, you could have optical nerve or brain damage.
Definitely not normal .

some people say small lights in a room; when it is dark are angels. some types of lights can be optical migraines , different then other migraines maybe you should see an eye Dr. to be sure . It could also be emotional, depending on what you are going through . Good Luck Evie
