I did the same thing looking at the sun through a pair of binoculars. It was so bright that I could hear it, it was a high pitched whine like that of a television running upstairs (that sound you can hear when you walk in the house that makes you say "the TV is on!"). I have glasses now. You can get Lasik surgery. Maybe you burn your retina though, that would be bad news. Talk to an ophthalmologist.

I had perfect vision till i got a welding flash on YTS about 15yrs ago,after that iv had to ware glasses coz it damaged my eyes.The prescription got stronger over a couple of years & has been the same 4 about 10yrs.
I have Glaucoma and years ago I split my retinas and they had to be repaired. Because of the eye disease I have tunnel vision and my sight is slowly deteriorating.
The sun emits infra-red energy and can burn a hole in your retina just like a laser can (solar retinitis) During the 60's, kids would take acid and stare at the sun and be visually impaired the rest of their lives. Don't stare at the sun.
