Spots on back of eyes?!
Question: I went to get my eyes tested not long ago, and my optometrist said I had spots on the back of my eyes. I'm short-sighted, and my eyesight has slowly been getting worse. I'm 22 years old.
Anyone have any clues as to what the spots might be?

a harmless spot in the back of the eye is probably a nevus. It's a freckle, just like you'd get anywhere else on your body. The problem is, you can't monitor it for changes, so if it developed into cancer, you wouldn't know. Your eye Dr. will probably suggest having it checked annually. If your Dr. didn't do it, you should see a retinal specialist and have photos taken of the spots, and keep a copy. It's very helpful in later years to look back and compare.
The vision changes are normal. If you aren't sure, call the Dr and ask, they should be happy to clarify.
