Same contact lens for year?!
Question: The doctor said to wear my contact lens for 2 weeks. I've been wearing it for one year. I have no irrtation and the contact is always clean and disinficted everyday and take care of it. I don't have much money that's why i dont have enough to buy a new box of contacts once a month, it's a lot! But shouldnt it be ok? I mean im fine i dont see any problem

yea I guess, since nothing has happened so its probably fine, just be careful.
It can really make your vision a lot worse. It can also mess up your eyes causing you to need surgery which will cost you thousands. So change them now!
your the same as my husband. hes suppose to change his every 2 weeks and hasnt in a year. i guess its fine as long as you keep it hydrated and dont get a tear in it
Ya it's a problem!! I wear contacts and after so long calcium builds up on the lenses and it can seriously affect ur eyes l8r on!!! Were you might not be able to wear lenses or get laser surgery!! Take care of ur eyes plz!!!!!
WTF no!!! the most you should ever wear them is two months!! you can get a serious eye infection! even if you think they're clean, you cant see all the tiny bacteria and the risks!! when you began using contacts you have to know that you have to change them, believe me you can get a serious eye infection and go blind! plz change them!

haha - sound like me - except i just keep them in and sleep in them too . heh . - not saying what i do is right - i know its not . but i did see a thing on 20/20 a few years back , saying that the extemded wear , and the two week contacts are exactly the same - they just sell them differently - they can sell the others for more that way obviosly - not saying they were right , or wrong - but as long as they are kept clean , i dont see how they can worsen your eyes . the perscription isnt going to change or anything . --- haha - i guess i'm really just making excuses for myself not getting new ones .

How do you know you are not hurting your eyes by your non-compliant wear? there can be things happening that you cant tell, but the Doctor can when they examine your eyes! Not to offend- but people like you are the reason everything is messed up for the rest of us!
