More often than not, this is normal, given people abuse their bodies and eyes just like their cars. This could be to your eyes were stressed, and the new prescription feels really weird, but that should go away in a couple of days. If not- after a week- I would go back to your eye doctor for a recheck. This can be common in people that are no longer accomodating astigmatic refractive error also- which I have experienced too.
When I first started wearing glasses, everything looked as if I was seeing through a kalidescope. I also had a slight headache. I would say that you're not used to the medication in the glasses just yet.
If it hurts and you cant see don't wear them. I get mine from wall mart for reading.

yes it may take a few days before your eyes adjust to the glasses, colors will seem really sharp and lights will seem brighter, just give it some time and the head aches will go away.
