Amaurosis fugax involves loss of vision in one eye caused by a temporary lack of blood flow to the retina. If you have a scan through the pdf file, you can see this can be caused by a lot of different things.

In someone under 40 the most likely cause is visual migraine.

Have you suffered from migraines in the past? Are there any headaches? I think you are freaking out when it happens and that is why your heart is jumping! I would be freaking out too.

See your optometrist, they should be able to steer you in the right direction.

I would check if anyone in your family has lost there cite and go from there it could be in your genes.

is there any jistory of the family happened like that???

have you been to an optimologist it could be an eye muscle or optic nerve problem.... other things possibly circulation... check your blood pressure...and maybe check to see if your a possible diabetic.

worst case it could be a tumor...hopefully not though.
