I have one near sighted, one far sighted eye?!
Question:
I have one near sighted, one far sighted eye?
I get really bad headaches from my glasses, but I need them to read (for the most part). I have 20/40 20/80 vision.
Answers:
This condition is known as anisometropia. A few things can cause the headaches: glasses that are a little off power-wise, a difference in image sizes called aniseikonia (think of it this way, the (+) power lens magnifies and the (-) power lens minifies, so the brain gets two different sized images), the need for extra reading power, called presbyopia, or poor binocular skills that can affect focusing and oculoar alignment. My recommendation is to visit your eye care professional to tell them of your symptoms so they can help you out and make life better for you.
