Seeing circles when I look left or right?!
Question:
Seeing circles when I look left or right?
A few months ago, I noticed that whenever I hold my head still, close my eyes, and look to the far left or far right, I see what look like dark circles opening up in front of me, right in the middle of my field of vision. If I look left, I see a circle in the right eye, and vice versa. What's really freaking me out, though, is that sometimes the circles get so big that I can see them even with my eyes open! Then they appear like clear portholes that expand whenever I look left or right and shrink whenever I look straight ahead again.
Usually the circles get larger and more noticable as I get dehydrated. My retina specialist doesn't see anything wrong with my retinas or pressure (so it's not macular degeneration, retinal damage, or glaucoma -- only "pretty sure" on that last one), nor does he think any of my medication is to blame.
Does anybody know what these circles might be, and whether they constitute a threat to my vision?

it might be because of sun exposer
