Is it okay to wear my contacts on a rollercoaster or a water ride? will they fal!

Question:

Is it okay to wear my contacts on a rollercoaster or a water ride? will they fall out? what if they get wet..?

I got my contacts about 2 weeks ago and I am very worried about doing everything right. My class is going in two days to six flags amusement park, will the lenses fall out as I hit the water after a water slide. What will happen if they get wet? please help me choose weather to wear them or not!

thanks

Answers:

I wear my lenses when I go on water rides, but I just make sure that I close my eyes shut if a load of water is dropped on me. It's not a horrible thing if they get wet, so don't worry. If you're in a pool, that's fine too, but just DO NOT open your eyes underwater, the chlorine is horrible for your eyes and lenses.

On roller coasters, you may feel them dry out a bit, but it's not a big deal. They've never fallen out for me, neither for other people I know. So just make sure to bring re-wetting drops for after roller coasters.

It'd be worse if you had to wear your glasses, for you'd have to take them off for each ride, and that's a pain!

So just relax, and have fun!
