Question about eye contacts.?!

Question:

Question about eye contacts.?

I have Acuvue Advance contacts lenses and theyre fine all day. But if I sleep in them even if its 30 minutes or 8 hours they stick to my eyes, dont move, and it's very hard and kind of stings when I take them out. Why is it doing this and anything I can do to make it not do this??

By the way, what is protein..my contacts solution says removes protein build-up or something like that..just curious?

Answers:

I think the only contacts that are "safe" to sleep in are the Night & Day ones, & even then I'm told not to do that.
They're the type I use because I figure, hey if they're good for 30 days of continuous wear then they should be great for just every day. & sometimes I forget I have them on or get too sleepy to take them out & they feel fine when I wake up, I keep a bottle of eyedrops by the bed though just in case I wake up w/ dry eyes, w/c doesn't happen too often. Longest I wore them was like 5 days straight, I know I'm not supposed to according to my optometrist but it's so nice to wake up to clear vision sometimes. :P
