Trial contacts.?!

Question:

Trial contacts.?

i've been having these pair of trial contacts that my eye doctor gave me, just to try out to see how it went. ive had them for like 4 months now. but havent worn them for like atleast 2 months now,
and today was the first day since. and so i put them on, and everything was good, but after like 5 hours with them on, i started to see blurry. and when i went outside. the lights seems so bright or something. when i buy the actual contacts is there gonna be improvements?

Answers:

Assuming that you've haven't worn any contacts during that time, then your eyes are not used to having the lenses in. Just like when you first started wearing contacts, you are given a wearing schedule to gradually get your eyes used to having the lenses in. If you've gone for 2 months without anything in, chances are that your eyes have lost the tolerance that you had built up and now its time to start over, with only wearing them a few hours at a clip.

That being said - if the lenses were sitting in the same solution for 2 months, I would throw them out. Once the lenses are opened they are no longer sterile and to have them sitting in the same solution, untouched, for two months, may have allowed some bacteria to get in there. If you are interested in trying the contacts out, call your eye doctor and ask for another trial pair to start off fresh...
