Is it normal for your eyes to sting when wearing breathable (O2 Optix) contact lenses?
My optometrist gave me O2 Optix contact lenses yesterday for me to try, because he said they are one of the best lenses on the market right now. The optician told me that they may feel a bit funny on my eyes for the first couple of days, due to the fact that they are a different material than regular soft contacts (which I've been wearing for over 10 years). But my eyes have been STINGING like crazy all day! I feel awful - like I've been crying for hours. This can't be normal?? Should I give it another few days??

I would call the doctor and ask him about it. Feeling "a bit funny" and hurting are 2 different things!
