Did anyone else have this problem with their toe nail?
it was like a couple years ago i think i was shooting baskets with a neighbor and when she took a shot she missed and the ball hit my big toe. the nail bruised and i expected it to go away after awhile like normal bruises. instead the nail stayed that way. the only difference was that the bruised area got smaller and sometimes gave me pain. the pain was where my nail joined to my skin on the side. when i looked at the part where its cut normally it looked like it was going to split apart. i finally got tired of it and cut off the bruised part. just a top corner. it grew back but as far as i know its normal now. today i noticed some pain in that area again. and it looks fine from what i'm able to see right now. i'm thinking about taking the polish off and actually looking at the nail itself. if anyone else had this problem what did u do about it? i didn't do anything because i thought it was nothing.

It sounds like you may have a start of an ingrown toenail, so please go get that evaluated by your nearest podiatrist. I know it's tempting to try to trim the nail yourself, but have your doctor do it because most times people try and they think they got the spike of nail out but in fact it's still in there and it still hurts. Do get it checked out before it gets infected which can happen. Hope this helps!
