Question:
I had a minor pull in a muscle, how long will it take for it to recover???
I pulled it when doing the long jump. I could do a light jog without the pain. What should I do to make it back to normal. Not running is an option, because I am doing a cross country camp. If I stretch and ice it, will it be back to normal??

Also I am not sure if it if I pulled it... I jumped the long jump farther than ever. And it felt unusually sore...

Unfortunately, it takes a long time for a muscle to heal - longer than bones. At least 6 months. Icing and stretching it will help with the pain, and the ice will numb it, but it won't heal any faster. Also, it has to heal on it's own. Sorry...
