Maybe you were feeling anxious.It does sound like anxiety. You have to learn to control your breathing. You need to breath slowly. What helps is if you get a small paper bag, put it to your mouth so as there is just a little hole left in the top and breath into it slowly in and out. Carbon dioxide collects up in the bag and helps you regulate your breathing. Do it for a while and you will calm your breathing down. Also sit on the floor,back straight and take a long deep breath in through your nose and slowly as you can breath back out. So, if you breath in for say 8 seconds then try and breath out through your mouth for 16 seconds. You must keep your back straight. Do this for at least 10 minutes and you will be able to breath again. It's scary when it happens but if you do what I have said it does work I promise you.
