I have a herniated disc in my neck, I don't want to have surgery.?!
Question:
I have a herniated disc in my neck, I don't want to have surgery.?
I have numbness in my right arm migrains and shoulder pain. I don't like to take pain pills or muscle relaxers. I've done that they don't help to much. I have done accupunture and it helps some. Does anyone know of any other alternatives that might help.
Answers:
You need to go thorough testing, imaging studies to determine the severity of your condition. You can try physical therapy but the numbness indicates never damage. Pain killers might not be working for you because you haven't found the right one, not all pain killers are made equal. I doubt there's any lasting effects to the acupuncture therapy, it might help but it will not solve your problem long term. Surgery might be your best choice for a long term solution, you really need to consider it.
