Please i really need some help on this situation and i cant go to the doctor becasue im very busy lately. HELP!! I dont want to lose my left leg....Im very athletic.

Answers:

Yea it's probably infected if your knee swelled up. That use to happen to me a lot when I was younger, my knee would get a bump of puss the size of a softball. It was nasty and it always made me limp for a while, and usually after a few days the swelling went down (sometimes it would take a week or so). The on thing you have to worry about is getting a staph infection which do occur a lot when people scrape their knees. But unless it's something like a staph infection, it probably won't kill you, though that is a possibility if you fell in dirt and stuff. Usually the body will fight that stuff off since the stuff that causes a staph infection is everywhere. If the swelling doesn't go down by Sunday, go to the doctors on Monday. But I wouldn't run to the doctor for every little infection you get. How is your body going to develop an immune system if you're running to the doctors and getting antibacterials every time you fall down. If you want to be crazy hypochondriac, go to the doctors tomorrow, but if you give it a few days, I'm sure it will go down.

Good luck with the knee, keep shredding the gnar.
