Has anyone ever Had a Peritonsillar Abscess?!

Has anyone ever Had a Peritonsillar Abscess?
If so after you had it drained did it come back or go away? I had a pretty bad one drained about 2weeks ago now the roof of my mouth is getting soar right above the tonsil that was infected. Not sure if that means it is comming back or not. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

im 10 and i had it on my molar on christmas eve. i had that same problem. ask your dentist. they gave me a freaky tasting mouthwash to help numb the pain.
