Aching body part right of sternum?!

Question:

Aching body part right of sternum?

for the past hour, a small area to the right side of my sternum and under my right 'mammary gland' has been aching. it's keeping me from sitting completely straight... it could be a really bad cramp, but it hurts really bad. and i usually don't get cramps or anything.

what should i do?
what's this "condition?"
is it normal?

sorry i can't be more specific. that's the best i can describe it, unless one of you ask a question, then i can try my best to answer in the 'additional details' section.

Answers:

More than likely you are having a muscle spasm in the rib cage. For now if you can apply a moist heating pad or hot towels for twenty minutes to the area it will help relax the spasm. Afterwards apply an analgesic cream. Do this several times a day. Advil soft gel capsules work very quickly to help with pain. Take them four times daily.

If It continues I suggest you see a chiropractor for immediate pain relief.
