C-section problem!!! Please Help!!!?!
Question:
C-section problem!!! Please Help!!!?
I had a c-section 3 weeks ago and I'm still recovering. Everything was going well with my recovery. No scar problems, it's healed really well. It's closed and doesn't have any visible problems nor am I experiencing any pain on the incision. Anyway, Now I have a really bad cold. Alot of coughing and ALOT of sneezing. Well if you've had a c-section then you know that coughing and sneezing is torture!! Anyway, everytime I sneeze of course it hurts my stomach. Not my incision but just above it. The lower part of my stomach. It even burns when I sneeze and right after if it is touched. Is this normal? It just started burning when I got the cold which was about 3 days ago. Like I said the incision doesn't burn but the area above and to the sides of it.

I would suggest to see your Dr. soon. Although, your situation may not be life threatning, a professional help is always advisable. It could be that the area above the incision get irritated because of the coughing and the stress on the skin is making it painful. I think this is normal if you had a major surgery. As long as the incision is always cleaned and medicated your incision should be just fine. I also don't think it'll open and start bleeding again. If the pain is not tolerable, you should call your Dr for pain reliever. I hope this help.
