Knee Pain?!

Question:

Knee Pain?

A couple of days ago, I tripped (I'm kind of a klutz....), and when I fell, my knee twisted in a weird way. It hurt for a little, but when away after about an hour. But the next day, and today, the inside of my knee hurts really bad, and feels all loose-ish/jello-y, especialy when I walk. And when I try to bend it, it makes this popping feeling around my knee cap.

I've been icing it and resting it since then.
Is there anything else I can do?

Answers:

Besides the ice, Wrap with an ace bandage. But be carefule not to cut off the circulation. Take an anti-inflammitory like Advil, up to 600mg with food twice a day. Rest it as much as possible for a couple days, no heavy acitvity. Sounds like you may have torn your ACL and/or meniscus. You probably should have your regular physician refer you to an Orhtopedic Specialist. It will cause you problems later on if not treated properly. I know, I blew mine out about 20 years ago and now I'm looking at a knee replacement. Good luck.
