Sore back/ shoulder blade after massage?!
Question:
Sore back/ shoulder blade after massage?
On Friday my friend gave me a massage she's not proffesional, but i havnt have a prob with her b4 and well this time she was giving me one and she found a certain spot right on the bone of my left shoulder blade, i have been having pain there for a few months, and i think that may have been the spot where the pain was coming from so i thought oh good this might fix it, but the pain was so bad i passed out and was in extrene agony afterwards, and couldnt sleep on it, for the next couple of nights and i still, cant sleep on it, so you think she may have done more damage, by massaging it, should i go to the doctor?
Answers:
Any deep tissue massage work requires that the area worked on, be taken care of by use of cold packs for 15 minute sessions possibly for 3-4 sessions within the first 24 hours after the deep tissue massage .
The area hurting is now inflammed so don't go and massage it anymore until you get the inflammation under control.
Post -massage self-care is an aspect that is rarely spoken about or put into practice by clients or therapists.
