Ive broken my metatarsles in my foot and i have got a full cast on but it is still hurting?
its been 2 weeks nearly and im still taking pain killers is this normal or should i be off the pain killers

Well if you are in alot off pain its always to go bck to the plaster room or fracture clinic and get it sorted out,it maybe that the cast is to tight and its need either replacing or easing a little,or it maybe where your fracture is moving slightly but if you fractured your matatarsals 2 wks ago the new bone should be growing now making the fracture more stable.Are you walking on the cast ? If so dont put all your weight on the cast it should be partial weight bearing with crutches.Kepp your leg elevated higher then your heart when possible and rest as much as possible.Metatarsal fractures can be very painful but it just sounds like you need the cast looking at.If you have further problems email if you like im a fully qualified orthopaedic plaster technician Good Luck
