How long will I be sore after my hernia surgery?
I'm 38 years old, pretty active and healthy and I'm just trying to forecast how long I will be laid up in bed. I really have a busy life and am hoping I will be able to at least get out of the house after 2 or 3 days. Obviously, I understand that I can't be climbing mountains...but I'm hoping I will at least be able to run some errands.

My husband had hernia surgery a year ago and his incision was quite large, just like a womens C-Section....So as far as getting back to Norm a few weeks!!!! That was a major incision and certainly not one you'd want to have undone!!! I forced my husband to stay home and take it easy for a week, it took him a week and a half before he was able to get back to work. It really took more out of him than he thought...Don't rush it..Nothing is that important....Errands for you within the week if your healing well.....Good Luck
