Ok i have this scrape on my ankle....?

it has a layer of skin taken off, my ankle is slightly swollen, and its slightly red around the cut. is it ok, or do you think its infected?

it doesnt hurt or anything...and its just a pale red...........it doenst have any pus or anything oozing out. its right where my tennis shoes hit on my ankle, so that might possibly be why its redish. I have to wear tennis shoes for my work.

Because I'm not a doctor, I can't say. But I do have something I know will take care of an infection, and it certainly cannot hurt. Get a wash cloth and with water as hot as you can stand, soap it up with an anti-bacterial soap, like dial. leaving it soapy, but not too drippy, put it on the sore place for about 20 min. do that at least 3 x's a day. If it's low enough and you have something that can hold enough water to cover, do the same basically. Make the water as hot as you can stand, make it really soapy, and soak.
If you see a red line coming up from it, get to the hospital, now. That's blood poisoning. If you do as I suggested, you should not get that bad, it should heal right up.
