My daughter burned the palm of her hand with the Iron, should I pop the blister !

Question:

My daughter burned the palm of her hand with the Iron, should I pop the blister and get the puss out?

Earlier today she accidently burned her hand on the iron. I put some treatment on it, and then had her hold on to an ice pack. After 30 minutes I went ahead and covered it with gauze so she wouldn't mess with it. She no longer has pain, which might be due to the tylenol, but she does have a huge blister on the palm of her hand. Should I pop it and take the puss out, or just leave it as it is?

Additional Details

My daughter is 21 Months old and likely to mess with the blister.

Answers:

Run her hand under cool water. Do not pop it . It could become infected. If you have any gauze put it over it to keep her from breaking the blister. Wash it with soap and water and try not to break open the blister.
I hope this will help.
