Does chlorine sting a fresh or reopened cut?

i have a little wound cut thingy on my knee from sliding on my knees the wrong way, and i just finished removing the scar because it was catching on my clothing. Now it's re-open and bleeding and fresh as ever and i'm going to the pool. Can I stillg get in without it stinging really badly?

Cover it with a water proof band-aid to minimize the exposure to the chlorine.....after swimming, take off the band-aid and let it dry out....you'll be fine....works for me!!!
