Has anyone had TMJ in their Jaw?
What's your story? I have it, but my dentist appt isn't until the 16th! Did you see a Dr or a dentist? Were they able to "cure" it? how did you deal with the pain beforehand? Thank you!

I am really stressed out, and I do clench my Jaw (or I DID) a lot but I do sleep with a night guard and I've been in pain for 3 months... does it eventually go away on it's own?

TMJ stand for tempormandibular joint. everyone has one of these. There arte tons of ways to help you joint if you have problems with it. You may just be grinding at night which causes the joint to inflame. You may also be clenching your jaw which would casue the same inflamation. Both of these are usually treated by making a nighguard, a hard piece of plastic that forms to your upper or lower teeth that you wear while you grind of clench the most(usually at night). If it's more serious you may need you bite adjsuted ( the way your teeth come together) with either braces, all new crowns or surgery as a last resort. To deal with the pain in the meantime, take 800mg of ibuprofen & use moist warm compresses on your jaw at 20 minute intervals unitl the pain subsides.
