The hospital said I have a pulsating aneurysm on my wrist! It's huge and I'm dyi!

Question:

The hospital said I have a pulsating aneurysm on my wrist! It's huge and I'm dying with pain! Any advice?

This growth has beein getting fairly large in the past 2 years. In the past, the doctor said it sounded like it was this, but it was so rare it couldn't be and since I wasn't bothered, we let it slide. But now it's been growing rapidly in the past month. For 5 days now my hand keeps falling asleep and my arm keeps turning purple! Today I was in so much pain I went to the ER and they said it was an arterial ulnar aneurysm or something like that and has to be taken care of by a vascular surgeon but he's unavailable until Monday! I'm dying in pain and it keeps growing, keeps cutting off circulation, keeps causing so much PAIN! Anyone ever suffer from one of these? Was there any secret to getting temporary relief?

I was sent home with specific things to look for as red flags so I can return if needed. I'm only 24 with young children, one who is still nursing. Yes, the pain is more severe than it was when I was looked at. If I can't sleep because of pain I will return!!! I'm just lookin for someone who suffered from the same and who can give me some words from the wise...

Answers:

Might help to elevate the arm. This would reduce blood flow to the aneurism and releif some of the pressure.
