Why do I feel more rested when I fall asleep drunk?!

Question: Why do I feel more rested when I fall asleep drunk?
When I'm sober, I always need more sleep as well as the fact that I am a light sleeper. I also don't always feel as rested. When I'm drunk, I feel better rested on less sleep.

Answers:

I wondered this too, and after some research I was told that it's because you get deeper REM sleep. You are more or less "passed out" than sleeping the usual cycle of nighttime slumber. The deeper the sleep, the fewer hours you need.
But that's no reason to have a nightly cocktail. ;-)

This is what happens when one is drunk, after taking alcohol, the body try to eliminate the toxins by different means, it may be frequent urination, sweating e.t.c. This is done to maintain the body balance and if there is excess that the body can not eliminate with the help of the kidney, some body function has to stop so that detoxification can take place and here is where sleeping comes.

personal knowledge.

it's because the alcohol knocks you out, so to speak, thus you get a deeper more intense sleep.

You have a good rest
