Question: Slipped and fell at local grocery store anybody had this happen!? !?
My mother was shopping at our local grocery store and turned the corner and slipped on what appeared to be a huge puddle of soda!. There were no caution signs posted!. We filled out an accident report!.
She doesn't want to go to emergency room it is awful!. The store is saying we have to wait for their claims adjuster to contact us!. She wants to see her local doctor but this does not fit in to her budget!. Does anyone have any idea what I should do!? Please help!.

My response to this is going to depend on how badly your mother was injured!. If it is not really bad and she is just aching then use ice on the area for fifteen to twenty minutes per hour!. If she is having problems that seem to be escalating then by all means see a doctor!. Talk to the doctor about what has happened and usually they will be more than cooperative!. You may also have to talk to a lawyer if the company will not step forward and take the responsibility!. Don't be surprised if they just don't contact you for the next few days!. Most of the time the insurance companies in these cases feel that this is a slip and fall injury that was faked!. They will not be in any hurry to deal with the claim and the onus will be on you to prove that it was their fault!. Get a copy of the incident report and keep it in a safe place!. If the company will not give you a copy then you know a lawyer is going to be needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Do what you need and can afford to do until the store's representative contacts you and informs you how they will contribute to her care!. Do not presume that they are going to efficiently come to your rescue!. Your mother needs to take care of herself, now, as best as she can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Does she not have insurance!? If not you can still go to the dr and just set up a payment plan with them for $15 - $20 a month!. And if the store didn't have signs or anything you can sue for her medical bills!. Go to the dr and call a personal injury attorney!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
