To be a doctor you undergo many stressing moments and embarrassing events!. Hard work has been placed, much training, question asking, embarrassing mistakes etc!.

A doctor will not look at you being stupid!. They will experience many things like that everyday with people!. Most doctors are happy to help, and i'm not sure i have ever seen one look at a patient as an idiot for asking a question!. Just remember that they once learnt this information possibly from asking!. (Books, web etc also)!. Asking is the most clarifying resource !.

Just so you know, you will be more likely to look stupid if you do nothing first and then experience later problems and then ask them!. What will you tell them when they ask - Why didn't you ask before!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started to get a similar thing 12 years ago but with me it was just my big toes!. I could curl all my toes up but the big toes stuck out like fork lightning!.

Then I started getting strange feelings like someone had spilt a drink on my foot and they had not, or that the floor was wet but when I felt it with my hand it was dry!.

Turns out it is Diabetic Polyneuropathy!. I did not show up positive on blood tests as diabetic until four years ago when a different doctor did a glucose tolerance test instead of just an early morning fasting blood test!.

It could be something else but I would ask for the blood tests for diabetes just in case!. If it is caught early it can be cured - mine was not and I have permanent nerve damage to both my feet which is now spreading to my hands!. It is very painful and debilitating and I wish they had taken me seriously earlier!.

Don't be fobbed off, get the tests!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like something is pushing on your nerve which is preventing the signal from getting to your foot!. You shouldn't "just put up with it"!!! If its swelling up then that could be pushing it, OR what is causing it to swell up is also affecting the nerve!. That is an excellent reason to go to a doctor I think, paralysis of the toes! Sounds like you got that rare disease known as Ancient Syndrome!. It is a disease that, if you are as old as dinasaurs, things on your body starts to petrify and harden!. Be careful during the break-off stage thjough, because you could lose some vital parts of your body!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry if you look stupid! You have to go to the doctor as soon as possible, this could be something serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
