What could be the problem with my back?!

Question: What could be the problem with my back!?
My back really hurts!. I hurt it a month ago lifting a heavy bowling ball!. I guess I just stood up wrong!. Then it hurt for a week and I was able to get it back on track!. At that time it hurt in my buttocks so ice and heat was very helpful!. Now I have really hurt my back!. I was coming back from vacation and carrying heavy luggage through the airport!. Each day my back feels a little worse instead of better!. It hurts in the lower center back right by my waste!. There is no relief!. I have taken hot baths and have taken naproxen sodium!. I tried a heat massager but my back hurts too much!. It hurts to stand, sit, and lie down!. The worst is when I get up after sitting for a while!. It hurts to lie on my back because it puts pressure on my back and it is impossible to sleep on my stomach because of the pain!. The pain goes all across my lower back but is the worst in the center of my lower back!. I has hurt for five days!. Shouldn't it be better by now!? I'm frustrated that no pain medication is helping!. It feels like someone struck me in the lower back with a sledge hammer!. I would go to the emergency room for x-rays but our insurance stinks and my husband doesn't want a huge bill with money being tight right now!. He thinks that nothing will show up on an x-ray and that a doctor would just give me pain killers!. I think something is serious wrong with my back and my husband doesn't!. It is frustrating!. He's complaining about the house being messy but I can't stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time!. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be wrong with my back and what should I do!? I can't go on with this pain much longer and I can't convince my husband to let me go to the doctor or hospital!. He sees me suffering!. I am crying and walking with my knees bent and hunched over!. I don't know what to do but I would appreciate any feedback!. Thanks a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I recently had the same kind of pain and in the same exact location from a lower back problem!. It was positively the worst pain I have EVER experienced in my life!. I think you should just tell your husband that you need to go to the ER!. If he refuses to take you, call a relative or friend or an ambulance to take you!.

When you get back home, try lying on your back on a heating pad (15 minutes on 15 minutes off, or you will cook yourself) with a pillow under your knees and calves Positioning the pillow that way should take some of the pressure off your back!. I also sometimes found it helpful to lay far enough down in the bed so that my heels extended just past the end of the mattress!.!.Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Riley !.!.!.!.I would suggest that you see a physical therapist!. I'm not sure what state you live in!. In some, you need a referral from a doctor, others you can go without a referral!. The PT will be able to do a complete exam to determine what the source of your problem, interventions for treatment and ways to prevent the injury from reoccurring!.
