Question: Cut my finger open, infection!?
I cut my finger the other day!. i didn't think it was that deep!.!.!.I've been trying to keep it clean but it appears to be infected and I'm starting to think it's deeper than I originally thought!.
How can I know if it's infected!? And when should I go to a docotor about it!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well for starters just make sure that you are keeping the wound covered with a bandage!. Also rub some anitbiotic onitment into it to help fight any possible infections!. Any open wound has the potential to produce "puss" for up to 24 hours!. Signs you want to look for regarding infection are redness around the area, the wound is warm or hot to the touch, any green, yellow, nasty colored, "puss" is coming from it!. Even if it does become infected, I wouldnt worry about going to the doctor!. The body is very strong and very able to fight off its own small infections!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If it looks red and inflamed, swollen, and if there is pus, it is infected, and you need to have it looked at by a doctor!. In the meantime, soak it in Epsom salts and warm water, then apply antibiotic ointment and bandage it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if its red, swollen, and hurts still it most likely has an infection!. put some neosporin on it after washing it with some anti-bacterial soap!. if it doesn't go away after a few days go to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Simply look for signs and symptoms of infection!. Look for redness, drainage (particularly foul smelling or purulent)!. Do you have a fever!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
