Is a double sided chest piece better than a single sided?!
Question: Is a double sided chest piece better than a single sided!?
I just started nursing school and I need to buy my first stethoscope!. I'm just not sure if I should get one with a double sided chest piece or a single sided!? The single sided claim to do the same thing as a double sided without having to turn it over!. I was just wondering if one really is better than the other!? Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
I use a Littmann, and the two sides have different uses, one is for heart and the other is for lung amplification!.
A good stethoscope should,
1!. Have a steel chest piece!.
2!. Have a thick dual tube!.
3!. Have a good flexible diaphragm!.
4!. Have angled soft ear tips!.
5!. Should cost around $25!.
and when you graduate and start working, get a one single head and one spare, just in case!. They should last for about 5 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
