Question: Any ideas for sneaking probiotics into my 9 year son's food or drinks!?
I need to give my son probiotics before he goes to bed in the night but they taste kind of funny!. I'm supposed to give him 1/4 of a teaspoon!. Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
mix it into applesauce or pudding, if it dissolves mix it in a small amount of liquid!. You could also try mixing it into yogurt or frozen yogurt or fruit smoothies!. If he will swallow a pill, maybe you could try that, some brands have very small pills!. If this is something that your Dr has suggested, then and 9 years old you should just treat it like any other medication he would be required to take, do not treat it as something optional!. The best way to give your son probiotics is AS his food, as shown by the following article: http://www!.associatedcontent!.com/article!.!.!.

Check the second page of the article for a number of different sources of probiotics; yogurt isn't your only option!. And, if he can't get past the various dietary supplements, the foods suggested at that link might just do the trick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't sneak them - talk to your son about the need for the supplements, and ask him to find a food or drink to mix with them or tell him that he will need to take the probiotics without any mixing!. Let him make the choice!.

Another alternative is to find a probiotic source that is in a capsule!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

We had to do the same thing with our son!. We ended up giving him kefir, which is a close relative of yogurt but drinkable!. It's a little expensive, but it works and he liked it! You can find it in the health food section of your grocery store, refrigerated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a friend who is a probiotics expert!. We have used several of his products!. Several are "dry" and you can just mix them in!. His name is Bruce Curtis and he would love to assist you!. Just go to his site and contact him that way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
