Cuts/ wounds healing?!
Question: Cuts/ wounds healing!?
As far as healing time and scars, is it better to "let the air get to it" or to keep a cut moist with neosporin (or other ointment)!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Keep it covered!. Neosporin to prevent infections and bandage it!. Take the band-aid off every now and again, for a few hours a day or overnight, to let it "air out" but for the majority of the time keep it covered!. And keep using neosporin!. according to the band-aid box, studies have shown covered wounds heal up to 3 days faster than uncovered ones!.
Mederma and other such creams are for scars only!. Do not start using them until the wound is completely healed and scarred!. If the wound is open, do not use it!. If there is a scab, do not use it!. If the skin is peeling, do not use it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's never good to let an open sore get exposed to the air, bacteria etc etc!.!.!.It's good practice to disinfect it and then to bandage it, to prevent infection!. Once it's scabbed over you are safe to take the bandaid off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
at first you should clean the wound and keep it covered, let a scab form and begin to heal!. then you should "let it air out" after thatWww@Answer-Health@Com
