Answers:
Usually stitches stay in 5-7 days!.

If the wound is still open, it is too late to re-stitch!.

Try using a butterfly bandage, pull the edges close together when applying!. This will minimize the scarring!. Use Neosporin, or a triple antibiotic on the area, in a very small amount or the butterfly won't stick!. Keep the area clean and dry and don't remove the butterfly for 3 days!. Do it quickly, for it to work and minimize scarring!.

The butterfly bandage is not attractive, but it will minimize scarring!. If your Mom's nurse friend has steri-strips, they work even better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will be fine, if it open a bit the scar will be wider but you'll be ok!. It needs time to heal, there is no quick way!.!.!.I had knee surgery and my doctor put my stitches in so tight they were ripping, i took them out the next day and my scar you can hardly see!. I have put in enough stitches and took them out i knew i wasn't going to have a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call MD or who ever placed the sutures, and ask!. The norm is 7 days with sutures, 5 seems early!. another thing you can do is buy liquid bandage, remove the rest of the sutures and reseal with the liquid banage!. I used on my sons eyelid, worked great but left a small scar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
