There are a lot of suppositions in this question!. For one the mechanism of injury was not detailed!. The repairs were also not spelled out!. Lastly you see professional and amateur athletes have the same injury as stated and never have an injury to the opposite side!. A lot of this depends on the mechanism that created the injury!. The ligament is the last line of defense in a system that the muscle is supposed to take the stress so if all fails the ligament is going to fail!. There is also a good chance that the injured knee will get hurt before the uninjured knee for an injury as stated takes about eighteen months to really heal and is susceptible to injury again until it finally cures in the knee!. I don't remember coming across that statistic before!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well, I dont know about the exact percentage but it makes a lot of sense because, one you blow out one knee you will use more the other one and will damage it a lot more than if you used both of them equally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think it sounds pretty stupid!. Surgery on one knee wouldn't effect the other!.!. if anything it would make it stronger because he would depend on it more while the other leg is healing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't know if that is true or not!. But I can tell you this, my husband blew out one knee and within a year blew out the other!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
