Answers:
You worked the muscles in a way that they are not used to!. You are probably suffering from what is called DOMS!. That is Delayed Onset of Muscular Soreness!. This comes from when you are doing the negative or eccentric phase of the lifting!. This puts out large amounts of ammonia and the resultant soreness!. Try doing some light exercise today and include with that stretching of the legs!. The more used to a consistent exercise program the less likely this will happen again!. You can also use ice on the legs for fifteen minutes per hour to reduce the pain!. Take a rolling pin and massage the legs with it!. Another trick is to take an empty bottle of soda, either a one or two liter bottle, and fill it with water!. When the bottle is solidly frozen put the cap back on and use it the same way as the rolling pin!. Will give a great massage and reduce pain at the same time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well did you stretch before & after doing this!? You need to!! Your working the biggest muscles in your body and if you never done them before and you do alot at once, yeah its gonna hurt!. Your just sore!. Keep stretching thru out the day!. This may last a day or two, but keep stretching even if it hurts!. Take a hot shower!. This will help relax the muscles after working them so hard!. Even though your sore don't stop exercising, just exercise lightly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
