I stepped on a screw and my foot is still sore. Tissue damage?!

Question: I stepped on a screw and my foot is still sore!. Tissue damage!?
Last Sunday I stepped on a screw!. It hurt really bad, it swelled up right away, and turned to a reddish-purple color!. The screw wasn't rusty, so I shouldn't have to worry about lockjaw, but my foot is still sore!. There are two little puncture wounds and its still a bit swollen, but not much and just a little sore!. Could I have torn something when I stepped on it!? Or did a little tissue damage!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You most likely have tissue damage, but you should definitely go see a doctor, before it gets serious! Yes you might have torn something, but I'm not a doctor, but I have looked at this stuff in my school!. Ugh, if you don't see a doctor, the bacteria with spread and ugh, your foot will be very repulsive!!!! Ugh! Go now!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is likely a bruise cause bruises turn that color!. If it doesn't get better soon it could be nerve damage or damage to the arch/structure of the foot!. I would say go see the doctor!. It could also be tetanus have you had your shot!? If there is an open wound it might also be an infection(if it turns yellow)likely just the natural healing process of a bruise!. Either way go see the doctor!. And don't worry!. As long as you are recovering there is likely nothing wrong!. How sharp was the screw and how large!? The two puncture wounds indicate a route of infection and possibly tetanus!. If you don't have the tetanus booster shot MAKE SURE you get one!. Generally tho you are going to be fine and be careful next time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just because the screw wasn't rusty doesn't mean that it's bacteria free!. You might have an infection and need antibiotics!. You probably should get a tetanus shot too!. Go see a doctor or immediate care physician ASAP because with the long holiday weekend coming up you'll have to wait to get into to see your regular doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. tetanus is not dependent upon the injury causing object being rusty-you still need a tetanus shot, or a booster, get that asap
2!. while you are getting your booster, have the physician look over the wound-set your mind at rest
do not mess with a potential tetanus or lockjaw, get the booster!.!.!.it can same you a lot of problemsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely as a screw would rip the flesh coming and going!. Rust is not the only thing you should worry about on that screw!. You may have an infection on top of damage!. If you have pets, kids etc, then who knows what was on it!. Might not be a bad idea to have a Dr!. look at it at least to get some antibiotics if needed!. Wouldn't be a bad idea to hit it with some disinfectant 2 or 3 times a day!. Feel better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

absolutely the tissue in the foot is right behind the pad, and it's very likely that you 've gotten tissue damage!. You should have gone to the doctor anyway for possible stitches and a tetninus (even if rust is not visible)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like some tissue damage, but it could also be infected!. The screw doesn't have to "look" rusty to not cause problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
