The Dr!. will tell you that it needs to air out!. If the blood has already clotted then you'll be fine with leaving the band aid off!. If she's in day care or pre-K then I would put an antibiotic ointment on it with a band air for school and then remove it, clean it, re apply the ointment and leave the bandaid off while at home!. Leaving the band aid on all the time isn't good beccause dirt and too much moisture can become trapped under the pad thus making it harder to heal!. Just make sure you're cleaning it with an antibiotic soap!. I really like the Dial Foam soap!. It's not as abrasive as bar or liquid soap!.
If this doesn't work and it starts to drain or become very red then you need to seek medical attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Once the cut has clotted and is no longer bleeding, it is less likely for it to become infected, especially after 3 days!. You should be fine with taking it off now!. Still, it would be advisable to continue to put on neosporin or a similar brand, which could also help with potential scarring!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes band aid makes the wound moist and doesnt let it dry and it will heal faster if it is dry!so i suggest you keep changing the band aid for atleast a week!. and then you can stop putting it as the wound needs to breathe so that it heals faster but do clean atleast once a day! take her to the doc and get stitches (only if it is deep)Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should assess the band aid if it is sterile or not!. If you think the bandage if dirty, you can change it to avoid infection!. If the wound got worse, consuIt your doctor!. I suggest that your daughter take vitamin C to help speed up the healing process!. Get well soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
