My ankle will not heal?!
Question: My ankle will not heal!?
My ankle has been hurting for the past seven months!. I have pain in the bottom of my feet and all around the ankle itself!. The doctors said it was a fracture that healed on its own when I went to the doctors about three months ago!. I did physical therapy for three months after the diagnosis!. The physical therapy didn't achieve anything!. I still have pain in the same areas!. After three months the doctor decided to try a cortisone shot to help decrease inflammation and pain!. The cortisone shot didn't do anything to help the pain in the bottom of my foot and around the ankle!. I'm stuck what do I do, Should I get exploratory surgery!? Or this problem going to heal naturally!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

For one do not get anymore cortisone shot!. Over time they will eat your cartilage!. If the doctor has not taken any X-Rays or an MRI!. Then he probably should!. Now it is also a choice to get a second oppion!. Now your pain sounds like you could have Planter Fasciitis!. Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation caused by excessive stretching of the plantar fascia!. The plantar fascia is a broad band of fibrous tissue which runs along the bottom surface of the foot, attaching at the bottom of the heel bone and extending to the forefoot!. When the plantar fascia is excessively stretched, this can cause plantar fasciitis, which can also lead to heel pain, arch pain, and heel spurs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
After cortisone and no pain resolution, the next step should be an MRI!. I don't think they do exploratory surgery on the ankle as the space is so limited!.!.!.!.tell your doc and they may have you do an MRI to find the issue in the joint!.
