My heel hurts?!


Question: My heel hurts!?
I had to tryout for a soccer team and after that, my heel started to hurt immensely!. I couldn't walk!. It still hurts a little!. What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get off your foot immediately and rest-
elevate your ankle while you lie down!. Get the ankle higher than your heart level!. This reduces the pain!. Maybe mom can give you a tylenol or aspirin!. Let her decide!.
Use an ice pack for only 20 minutes at a time!. It sounds like you're young, so you should heal quicker than an old guy like me!. Take it easy tomorrow!. The problem with foot injuries is that we need to go to school and work, etc!. BUT we need to heal the foot! So, if at all you can stay off it for 1 to 2 days, you will be as good as new in 3 days!. It's your call!.
The ice is best for athletic injuries!.
Some coaches will suggest 20 minutes of ice, then 20 minutes elevated!. Then 20 minutes heat!. And start the cycle again!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been playing soccer for twelve years and I've had the same problem!. I went to the doctor and he said it has something to do with the nerves!. icing it never works for me so i just stock up on advil!. It helps dull the pain and if you stay off your feet for a little while eventually it will start to feel better, but the first few days are the worst!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
