It should go away by itself, but in some cases, loud noise, particularly after long or repeated exposure, can trigger a condition known as tinnitus!.

Tinnitus is a persistent ringing or buzzing sound in the ear(s)!. Obviously, there isn't an actual sound, just the impression that there is!. It is a prescribed industrial 'injury' and has also been linked to exposure to loud music at Discos etc!.

In some cases, it can persist for more than 24 hours, but not normally more than 48 (approx) hours!.

In rare cases, even a short period of exposure can trigger a 'permanent' or very long-term case of tinnitus!.

If it hasn't gone away by Monday, I'd recommend you see your GP for further advice, because it could also be that you may have picked up an ear infection which can cause the same symptoms!. This could be the case if you feel dizzy, nauseous, disorientated or have ear-ache along with the ringing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you continually listen to loud music you can damage your eardrums, also if you work with electronic equipment - i used to go to gigs etc and work in IT - now at 50 I have tinitus and hear ringing noises lots of the time!. Being away from electronics, engines etc it does quieten down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
