it is VERY important to rest that muscle, do NOT aggravate it!. you can take ibuprofen to help the swelling go down so it doesn't get worse!.

i had bronchitis and pneumonia for 4 months and in the first month pulled a back muscle from coughing!. For the next 3 months every time i coughed it got worse until i couldn't even sit lie down or breathe correctly and ended up in the emergency room because i couldn't breathe and had to take prescription painkillers and muscle relaxers

rest, ice, ibuprofen, and gentle stretchingWww@Answer-Health@Com
