People usually refer to this as hitting their "funny bone"!. They say that because the large bone from your shoulder to your elbow is called the humerus bone!. But we all know there is nothing humorous or funny when we hit our elbow and that happens! You aren't actually hitting a bone at all when you do this, you are hitting your ulnar nerve which is a fairly large nerve that sits just below the skin (most nerves are much deeper so that's why you don't feel them as much)!. When you bump your elbow on something and it hits the ulnar nerve, man it hurts! It sends tingles and pains along your entire arm! But it's nothing to worry about!. We all do it!. It doesn't make it hurt any less though!Www@Answer-Health@Com
The old saying was, I hit my crazy bone, which was the elbow and it made that crazy condition you described!. It's just a nerve, not to worry youung lady!. Good luck to you!. You can ask your Grand Parents or maybe your Parents know, have you ever heard of hitting your crazy bone!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
